Short story reading and writing groups for writers and readers of all levels in lewes and beyond.
Short Story Reading Club
Join us for our friendly Short Story Reading Club, held one Sunday morning a month at Lewes Waterstones. We read aloud three short stories by a variety of both well-loved and little-known authors, followed by lively discussion. A wonderful way to discover new writers, new stories, new opinions and new friends. Free but booking essential. Email us to book your space.
The Writing Space
Writers of all levels find motivation and community at The Writing Space, a warm and productive place to write for two hours every week, free of distraction. Crack on with your current project work at your own desk, curl up and read in an armchair or make use of the range of prompts and activities available to springboard you into new work. Group feedback and individual support available. Email to find out more.
We hold lots of events throughout the year, including masterclasses with leading authors such as Adam Marek, Paul McVeigh and Vanessa Gebbie, themed workshops like our popular Food and Flavour class, and our Short Story Pub Crawl. We are thrilled to have spent several years working with Small Wonder Festival at Charleston, hosting events and reading groups. We are also involved in the local community - get in touch if you have an idea for how we can work together.
